DC Restaurant Week at Café Berlin — Three Courses, $55
DC Restaurant Week on Capitol Hill — three courses of authentic
German cooking for $55 per person, two blocks from Union Station.
Start with chilled potato and leek soup (Kartoffel-Lauch-Kaltschale),
roasted cauliflower and arugula salad, or our lacy potato pancakes
(Kartoffel Pfannkuchen). Then braised rabbit in red wine and juniper
(Hasenpfeffer), lemon-basil risotto with grilled shrimp, a seared
oyster steak with horseradish remoulade, or a ratatouille-stuffed
pepper (Gefüllte Paprika). Finish with Black Forest cake
(Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte), plum dumplings (Zwetschgenknödel), or
apple strudel. Coffee or hot tea included.
Beer and wine pairings available — three pours chosen for the menu,
all German and Austrian.
City-wide Restaurant Week runs August 24–30. We serve Wednesday
through Sunday, so our Restaurant Week menu runs August 26–30,
from 2 PM. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options across all
three courses. Reservations recommended — the Biergarten fills first.
