Oktoberfest 2026

September 19th - October 25th

Five weeks of Oktoberfest two blocks from Union Station. Festbier and Märzen on tap in the proper Maß, Bavarian plates through the season, and seven event dates still to come — two whole-pig roasts, two Bavarian Brunches, live music on the Sundays between, and a family afternoon on Columbus Day.

Spanferkel — Whole Pig Roast

Saturdays · 12–3 PM $65 per person, plus tax & service

A whole suckling pig, roasted, in the Biergarten — and the only Saturday lunch we serve all year. We open at noon for it — two Saturdays left this season, and no more.

What $65 includes Roast suckling pig · choice of two Beilagen · Apfelstrudel with house-made vanilla ice cream · a full litre of Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest bier in the proper Maß.
  • Sauerkraut — fermented cabbage, stewed with bacon
  • Rotkohl — sweet and sour red cabbage
  • Bratkartoffel — roasted potatoes, onion, bacon
  • Spätzle — rustic egg noodle
  • Käsespätzle — the German version of mac and cheese
  • Kartoffelknödel — potato dumplings, halb und halb
  • Gemüse — seasonal vegetable
  • Kartoffelsalat — with celery, cornichons and egg
  • Gurkensalat — cucumber dill salad

These sell out. Reserve rather than turn up — one pig is one pig.

Bavarian Brunch

Two Sundays · 11 AM–2 PM $40 per person, plus tax & service

Brunch the way it is eaten in Bavaria, not the way it is eaten in Washington. Choose a starter or a dessert, choose a main, and it comes with coffee or juice and a 0.3L Bier. See this year’s brunch card.

Sunday Funday

Sundays · 3–5 PM No cover à la carte

Sunday afternoons in the Biergarten with a band under the umbrellas. Festbier and Märzen on tap, Bavarian plates off the season menu, nothing to book and nothing to buy but lunch. 25 October is the last day of Oktoberfest — then the Maß go back in the cellar for a year.

Kidstoberfest

Monday · 3–6 PM No cover children’s plate $11

The city has the day off and school is out, so we open on a Monday we are normally closed and give the Biergarten over to families for the afternoon. Live music, room to run about under the umbrellas, and a menu with something for everyone at the table.

For the children: the Kidstoberfest plate — Käsespätzle, a frank in a blanket and a fruit cup, $11. For everyone else: the full Oktoberfest card.

Monday is not a normal service day for us, so the room is only as big as the bookings.
